Fifteen-year-old seduced by a servant twice his age, exile and a series of unfortunate events in New York, which is full of dark corners.

Briefly about this is the novel by Franz Kafka, which belongs (next to "The Trial" and "The Castle") to the so-called "trilogy of loneliness". “America” is a story about growing up, making decisions and the daily cruelty of the world. It was, who inspired the creators to create a full-length animated film.

During his adolescence, Karl is left alone, thrown into the vortex of a ruthless world. The hypocritical and demoralized society of America does not make it easier for him to find his place in the world. Karl is abused, used and humiliated at every turn. However, he always stubbornly stands up and moves on. The protagonist, however, does not seem to notice the atrocities that affect him, he does not feel like a victim himself, which causes an even greater sense of pity.
