About us

MOMAKIN combines the world of animation filmmaking with international production, distribution and promotion. It supports animation projects at every stage of their development: from planning and financing through production to distribution. It runs a talent agency, and initiates and produces film projects in Poland and abroad based on a network of contacts that ensure effective distribution and promotion. It has an extensive distribution catalog for the cinema, TV and VOD. It is involved in education and professionalization of the film industry.
MOMAKIN is the organizer of the ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum – the only industry event in the world dedicated to stop-motion animation.
MOMAKIN is run by three energetic women – experienced specialists
in the organization of events and film production.
Agnieszka Kowalewska

Agnieszka Kowalewska-Skowron

She is the director of ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum, juror on animation festivals all around the world, selector of films for Ibero-American Premios Quirino awards. As a distributor, she works with broadcasters and VOD platforms. She searches for films and TV programmes to distribute. She is also vice-president of TV series section in Polish Producers Alliance. She coordinates projects promoting Polish animation in the world and organizes cultural events.

Film expert, she finished Postgraduate Public Relations Studies at University of Lodz and Social responsibility in business at Tischner European University in Cracow. She was professionally tied to Se-Ma-For Film Festival, TOYA TV, Multimedia Poland and Wytwórnia Club.

Katarzyna Gromadzka
Katarzyna Gromadzka

She is the executive producer, animation talents’ representative, coordinator of Polish Quality project. She searches for animation talents, works as a mentor in Sisterhood of Young Animation Auteurs programme and introduces to the world’s market innovative system of animation armatures branded by MOMAKIN. She is a member of Polish Filmmakers Association and Polish Animation Producers Association.

She graduated in film studies and film and TV production organization at Lodz Film School. She began her career path as stage and production manager. She worked with The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage and Se-Ma-For Film Festival.

In Se-Ma-For Film Production and Se-Ma-For Film Foundation she led the production of animated films and TV series: “Parauszek and Friends” by Krzysztof Brzozowski, “A Blue Room” by Tomasz Siwiński, “Small Hands in a Big War” by Matthias Zirzow, “The Escape” by Jarosław Konopka.

Paulina Zacharek

Paulina promotes #BajkizPolski, as member of the management of Polish Producers Alliance she focuses on animation aspects from the producers’ point of view. Her specialties are fields of professionalization and education. StopMoLab training programme built by her allows the participants to fill-in natural gap between knowledge gained in art universities and reality of professional work. She coordinates the creation of national strategy for education in animation. She is co-creator of educational part of Se-Ma-For European/Asian Express, Junior Se-Ma-For Film Festival and film section of International Animation Art Festival.

She graduated in art history nad she finished Postgraduate Museum Curator Studies at Jagiellonian University. She was tied to Se-Ma-For Animation Museum that she managed for 5 years. She created and co-organized exhibitions, workshops and special events. She is experienced coordinator and organizer of cultural projects and events.
