A fictionalized historical documentary series for young viewers. It employs a technique which combines live-action photos with actors with archival materials and effect photos on mockups. The series presents the events of World War II seen through the eyes of children from various European countries. As the canvas for the story, it uses the original children's diaries and biographies from 1938–1945.

Shortly after entering distribution, this title received numerous prestigious awards, including an award for the best children's documentary program at the GOLDENER SPATZ German Children’s Film and Media Festival, the Silver Valkyrie at the Historical and War Film Festival in Kętrzyn and the White Elephant for the children television production of the year.
