An original, animated film for children from the series “Paint me a fairytale…”, made using the technique of painting animation with oil paints on canvas directly under the camera.
The film adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale is a funny, but also very true, story of a certain gossip. The action takes place in the suburbs of a small town and centers on a rumor about a noble hen who lost one small feather. The message passed from mouth to mouth, or more precisely, from beak to beak, turns into a "dramatic" tale of five hens that "died" of love for a rooster.
Behaviors of chickens and other birds show in a distorting mirror the human reactions and emotions associated with spreading the rumor.
